raw shea butter

Shea butter comes from the nuts of the shea tree (also known as the karite tree) which grows wild in Central and Western Africa, where it has been used as skin care for centuries because of it’s healing properties. Shea Butter absorbs quickly & is great for stretch marks, dry skin, cracked heels and more. It has also been clinically proven to have anti-aging properties, protection against inflammation and rapid healing for burns to minimize scarring. This nut is high in vitamins A and E and minerals. If you have a small cut or burn, immediately apply soothing shea butter to it. Shea butter also helps alleviate the pain from sunburns. For those with dry skin, raw shea butter may be the most naturally moisturizing product you will ever use. In addition, Shea Butter has natural sunscreen properties and anti-inflammatory agents. Regular users of pure, unrefined Shea Butter notice softer, smoother, healthier skin. Shea Butter has also been shown to help with skin conditions and irritations, skin allergies, fungal infections, blemishes, wrinkles, scars, scrapes, and more. The Shea Butter we use is produced using fair trade practices and Organic standards.

People suffering from skin irritations can use Sweet Almond oil topically to reduce inflammation, redness, and itching which makes it a wonderful ingredient to reduce puffiness under eyes. A study conducted by Hamdard University in New Delhi, India, and published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology concludes that application of this oil on the skin not only protects the skin from harmful UV rays but also slows down the aging process. It's a great emollient, is absorbent and rich in vitamin E. It also contains magnesium, calcium, and vitamin D which packs it full of nutrients for our Renew lip & eye cream.

Chia seed oil is a super food for skin because of it’s amazing levels of Omega-3 fatty acids, protein, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. We use this wonderful ingredient because it aids in soothing inflammation, smoothing fine lines and improves skin elasticity. Chia seeds contain more Omega-3's than any other plant source, including flaxseed which helps to maintain moisture levels and provides a healthy protective layer to skin while relieving irritation, dryness and peeling.

This superfood is prized for its anti-inflammatory properties, even being helpful in skin conditions like eczema, rosacea, and acne. It may be on of the only plant foods know to provide four omega fatty acids including omega-3, omega-6, omega-7 (rare), and omega 9. It is widely know to have skin regeneration properties which help wounds heal quicker. It also, contains amino acids, vitamin E, and other bio-active nutrients which is why it is a favorite among skin and health experts. These nutrients help strengthen the epidermis and cell membranes. Studies have shown that this special oil promotes skin elasticity which helps prevent wrinkles so, keep smiling all day long!

grapefruit seed oil

Not to be confused with GSE or Grapefruit Seed Extract, this is a rare oil pressed from the seeds of the grapefruit and is packed with nutrition. Grapefruit seed oil has powerful antibacterial, antiviral and anti-fungal properties. It has been shown to help regenerate skin cells and aids in removing dead skin cells from pores yet in the most gentle and natural way. As it hydrates, it helps to reduce wrinkles, dryness and improves skin elasticity. With high levels of Vitamin C, GSO is a strong antiseptic and has been tested to help combat large pores, dark spots and other skin blemishes.

Cold-pressed virgin meadowfoam oil is wonderfully emollient and high in vitamin E. It helps to retain moisture on the skin while adding a protective barrier to the outer layer of skin. It's anti-oxidant properties help to repair sun damage, firm the skin and reduce inflammation. This is great news for those with inflammation in the form of acne, eczema or other skin irritations. Meadowfoam is a renewable crop and is native to northern California, southern Oregon, Vancouver Island, and British Columbia. Plus, it requires minimal (if any) pesticides to grow which makes it great for the environment. In addition to all these benefits, meadowfoam seed oil is a highly stable oil which helps to make other ingredients stable. Since we never add fillers, we get excited about using natural ingredients that benefit the skin while helping the product stay fresh naturally! Yippee!

moringa seed oil

We are so excited to offer moringa seed oil for it’s antibacterial, antioxidant, nourishing and anti-aging properties. The nutrients in moringa seed oil helps slow the skin aging process, lightens skin tone while nourishing and protecting the skin from free radical damage. This quick absorbing seed oil has 90 nutrients, 18 essential amino acids, chlorophylls, omega-3 fatty acids and anti-inflammatory properties.

lavender essential oil

Essential oils like lavender nourish and soothe the skin. Lavender Oil produces a calming effect, aids in regenerating the skin, & can minimize scar tissue. Lavender reduces inflammation, has antibacterial properties & enhances blood circulation. It also adds a beautiful scent that is such a treat when applied, while being very subtle. Even those who are sensitive to smells will enjoy Lavender!

When heading out, simply apply a tiny amount under eyes to freshen your face. It works wonderfully.

It is also an amazing lip moisturizer. It is said that the average person consumes over 7 lbs of lip moisturizer in their lifetime. Now your dry or cracked lips will be smiling (literally) knowing those 7 lbs. of moisturizer won't harm your body.

Renew is a wonderful combination of raw shea butter and plant oils with proven abilities to help soothe puffy eyes, reduce dark circles, restore elasticity to skin, aid in regenerating healthy skin tissue, and moisturize/soften lips.

How To Use Renew

• Renew is firm, can even be hard. But, no scraping is needed here. You won't need that much Renew to do the job. Think ski slope.
• Start in the middle and create a ski slope of sorts up the sides of the jar. Renew will begin to melt onto your finger, then gently pat on the delicate skin under and around your eyes, on lips, as well as around laugh lines morning and night.
• Renew can be used on very dry skin like feet and elbows. Apply liberally on the dry area.
• Because we don't use fillers a little goes a long way.
• Quick Tip: To give your dry lips a spa treatment, using a clean toothbrush, dip the toothbrush in Renew and gently scrub lips to exfoliate. Ahh!

Applying Renew

1. warm - Touch renew with finger. Let your skin warm it up for a few seconds.
2. swoop up - Start in the middle. Think ski slope and swoop up.
3. tap - Gently pat on skin under eyes, lips, & laugh lines.
4. repeat - Repeat as many times as needed.
