detoxing your skin

detoxing your skin

Your skin is going to care about the difference between 90% and 10%

Your body has only so much energy in a day to do its job [it gets tired, too]. Let's say, on an average day, your body uses 90% of its energy to process food, toxins, and do its daily functions. That leaves 10% of its energy to work at healing or fixing what is wrong in your body.

When you detox, you switch those numbers. Feeding your body healthy whole foods that take little energy to process allows your body to spend 90% of its energy fixin' what needs fixin'.

The same is true for skin and is how we approach skin care. By using ONLY beneficial, nourishing, and active ingredients, it affords your skin 90% of its energy to healing/fixing dull, aging and irritated skin. Isn't that cool?

Rome wasn't built in a day. Your skin may take time, too.

With that said, good, lasting detoxification can take time. Although you may notice changes almost immediately, change that occurs below the skin may take longer.

Stick with it. You will be glad you did.

"I’ve been using Relief & Wash for a couple of months now. It is only recently (past few weeks) that my face has finally adjusted. My acne & irritation have calmed greatly & breakouts are really minor these days. It’s been such an improvement! If you don’t see results after the first 4 weeks, give it a bit more time. My skin really needed time to “detox” & calm down. Now, Relief is also providing just the right amount of hydration for warmer days. At night I’m using Bloom’s night cream. I love the ingredients & love the results!"

The detox process for mild acne

Struggling with mild acne? This is how detoxing is done.

week 1 | relief

  • Use Relief as your moisturizer and cleanser, exclusively, remembering it has jealousy issues.

week 2 - 3 | add wash

  • Add WASH as your facial cleanser, Relief as your moisturizer for face and body, and SPOT on the red spots.

week 4 and on | assess your skin

  • Assess your skin. If you think you should stick with the WASH and Relief for longer, go ahead. For some, using WASH and Relief may be their new normal, not needing anything else. If your skin is becoming radiant again and you feel more moisture and nutrients are in order, we can help with that.

Now that the detoxing process is done, welcome to your new routine.

The detox process for severe acne

Struggling with severe acne? This is how detoxing is done.

week 1 - 2 | relief

  • Use Relief as your moisturizer and cleanser, exclusively, remembering it has jealousy issues.
  • Although we suggest using Relief alone for 2 weeks, this will be determined by how well your skin is doing. If you are still experiencing skin irritations, keep going for one more week then adding in SPOT on week 4. Everyone's skin is different. Trust yours.

week 3 | add wash

  • Begin to add wash into your routine. Massage WASH into skin with firm movements.
  • rinse

week 4 and on | start using spot

  • Add SPOT to your daily routine by applying on the affected spots. It may sting a bit when applied. This tells you it is working to combat infection which causes inflammation. If it feels too uncomfortable, rinse off and try again at a later time. Do not use if it burns. Although all healthy plant oils, they pack a powerful punch at infection and inflammation.

What about dry, oily, or combo skin?

The right ingredients make that question obsolete.
