TOXINS. This NEEDS to be shared!

Trash talking is not my style. I hardly ever post trash about other products but rather let our products speak for themselves. However, this hits me in the gut.

People NEED to know what they are putting on their skin.

I get it. Out of desperation we grasp for anything that claims to help ourselves or or precious children suffering from acne or eczema, mostly with a hefty price tag.

Here are the ingredients found in an EXPENSIVE acne wash on the market...

Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Glucoside, Distearyl Phthalic Acid Amide, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Diisopropyl Adipate, Glycerin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Polyacrylamide, Bisabolol, Laureth-7, Cetyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Xanthan Gum, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Titanium Dioxide, Fragrance, Violet 2 (CI 60725), Blue 1 (CI42090), Red 33 (CI17200)

If you aren't familiar with these ingredients, let me help.

The second ingredient (SLS) is what the FDA uses to irritate skin then they apply a "soothing" product on irritation to test that products ability to soothe. So even the FDA knows it is irritating. Google search it to find all the warnings. And people, it's in everything: toothpastes, shampoo, soaps, anything needing suds.

Any ingredient that has a NUMBER in it or is CAPITALIZED is not found in nature thus has been created in a lab. There are no coconut-100 found growing on trees, at least not in nature. At best it is a natural ingredient manipulated in a lab to the point where no nutrients remain or it is created to mimic the properties of a natural ingredient (which NONE of these are).

Notice some of the biggies like PEG, Parabens (those things we are all told to stay away from), fragrance, colors... If they throw in some natural ingredients among the toxic sludge, that gives them some "healthy" ingredients to highlight. "Fight Acne with Aloe Vera and flower extracts!"

My question is this. How do you soothe acne with irritating, pore clogging, hormone-interruping, anti-freeze and plain toxic ingredients? No, really. I can't figure it out and I think I am a bit of a scientist. How. Does. This. Work?

Those that have tried these type of products (any acne remedy I have found on the market, really)? Do they work? Do they help for a time? I am curious to know.

What gets me excited is offering a whole new way to treat acne made with ONLY plant oils, butters and extracts! Using ingredients that actually help your skin heal itself is revolutionary, simple, healthy and right!

Again, I don't like the negative sell but unless people get educated on what is out there, we are like sheep led to the slaughter. I want to be an informed person on stuff that affects my family's health and assume you do too. This is why I read articles online about what is going in our food, how it is processed, the healthcare industry and natural remedies to replace modern medicine.
