TOXINS. This NEEDS to be shared!

Trash talking is not my style. I hardly ever post trash about other products but rather let our products speak for themselves. However, this is important to know.

People NEED to know what they are putting on their skin.

I get it. Out of desperation, we grasp for anything that claims to help ourselves or precious children suffering from acne or eczema, mostly with a hefty price tag.

To illustrate the harmful ingredients found acne treatments these days, below is a list of a popular and EXPENSIVE acne wash on the market...

Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Glucoside, Distearyl Phthalic Acid Amide, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Diisopropyl Adipate, Glycerin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Polyacrylamide, Bisabolol, Laureth-7, Cetyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Xanthan Gum, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Titanium Dioxide, Fragrance, Violet 2 (CI 60725), Blue 1 (CI42090), Red 33 (CI17200)

If you aren't familiar with these ingredients, let me help.

The ingredients above in RED are the ones that are toxic.

The second ingredient (SLS) is what the FDA uses to irritate skin then they apply a "soothing" product on the irritation from the SLS to test that product's ability to soothe. So even the FDA knows it is irritating. Google search to find all the warnings associated with SLS. You can hardly get away from it. It's in everything: toothpaste, shampoo, soaps, anything needing suds.

Any ingredient that has a NUMBER after it or is CAPITALIZED is not found in nature and thus, created in a lab. You won't ever find coconut-100 growing on trees.

PARABENS

These are used as a preservative that are known endocrine disrupters. The ENDOCRINE system includes all glands and the hormones these glands produce. They affect cellular metabolism, reproduction, sexual development, sugar and mineral homeostasis, heart rate, and digestion.

This ingredient can interfere with fetal development, is linked to breast cancer, is considered an immuno-toxin causing a myriad of allergic reactions.

POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL (a.k.a. PEG which is a by-product of the petroleum industry)

PEG is found in make-up, hair products, lotions, aftershave, deodorants, toothpaste, and mouthwash to name a few. However, you make know it more commonly as an ingredient in antifreeze and brake fluid. It is a known human carcinogen, is highly toxic and can cause brain, liver, and kidney abnormalities, potentially causing breast cancer, leukemia, brain and nervous system cancer, bladder cancer, stomach cancer and pancreatic cancer, as well as Hodgkin’s disease.

One of the reasons manufacturers use PEGs is to help their products absorb deeply into the skin. Think of it as a transport system. While this may sound great, PEGs are often contaminated with pollutants including ethylene oxide, dioxane, polycyclic aromatic compounds and heavy metals including arsenic, cadmium, lead, nickel, cobalt, and iron, according to the Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) committee. PEG’s allow pollutants to easily enter your body through the skin’s surface.

Also, notice synthetic fragrances and dyes added in this formula...Why are dyes even needed? Really.

You and I are smarter than believing a claim that a product is healthy if they contain aloe vera and flower extract. These are thrown in among the toxic sludge to make it sound healthy so you and I will buy it.

My question is this. How do you soothe acne with irritating, pore clogging, hormone-interrupting, anti-freeze and plain toxic ingredients? No, really. I can't figure it out and I am a bit of a scientist. How. Does. This. Work?

What is so exciting is offering a whole new way to treat acne made with ONLY non-GMO plant oils, butter, & raw honey!

Using ingredients that actually help your skin heal itself is kinda revolutionary in this day and age yet simple, healthy and just makes sense!

Again, I don't like the negative sell but unless you and I get educated on what is out there, we are like sheep led to the slaughter. I want to be an informed person on stuff that affects my family's health and assume you do too.

This is why I read articles online about what is going in our food, how it is processed, the healthcare industry and natural remedies to replace toxic ones. These I love to share with you.

Kristy, I am constantly frustrated that the message companies are trying to send me don’t align with their ingredient list. Then they throw in the token healthy ingredient and highlight it so we all think it is healthy. This is actually why I began Bloom. Good, safe and effective skin care doesn’t need to be complicated nor crazy expensive. Read our reviews and what makes us different. I think you will find it refreshing. Plus, we have a money back guarantee because I also believe you should spend your money on products that work. https://bloomnaturals.com/pages/where-to-begin

You are preaching right now. I have been looking into Rodan + Fields and still can’t bring myself to buy it. My skin is not terrible, I have larger pores than I would like, I have some blackheads that I can’t get rid of, but nothing I can’t cover up with good makeup. I maintain as natural of a lifestyle as possible and when I saw that R+F contains cancer causing and unnatural products I felt hopeless in finding what will help me. Thoughts?
